Chuckles day nursery is open from 7.30 am - 6.00 pm Monday to Friday, 51 weeks per year.


We pride ourselves on being a small friendly, homely environment.

The nursery consists of two separate rooms . Our baby room cares for babies up to 30 months, with a total of 6 places per day. Our ratio is one member of staff to every 3 babies.

Our Preschool room is for children aged between 30 months - 4 years with a total of 20 places per day. Our ratio is one member of staff to every 4 children for 30 months - 3 years old and one member of staff to every 8 children for over 3 year olds. 

Our rooms have fully enclosed outside play areas, this allows the children to have access to the outside area as often as they like. Both rooms also have a separate sleep/ relax room which also can be transformed into a sensory room for activities.

All children's development is tracked using an online learning journey called tapestry. This allows parents to be a part of their child's learning journey by allowing you to add photo's and videos of special events for example- babies first steps, first word, family celebrations and family holidays. Your child's key person will update the learning journey at least every 6 weeks to give you a insight into your child's time within the nursery. 

As a nursery we understand first hand the anxiety experienced by parents when leaving their child for the first time. We have installed a state of the art camera system for parents to view their child whilst in nursery, this systems enables you to log in at any time using pc, mac,or mobile device anywhere in the world to view your child at play.  The camera system is highly secure and is monitored daily by I watch and the nursery owner.
